Project Manager / Business Development

Position requirements

1. Plan and manage the implementation of projects
2. Control and monitor project budget, risk, scope and quality (in conjunction with the lead developer)
3. Manage the allocation of project resources
4. Liaise with clients on project management related matters
5. Liaise with the team to ensure they have the required information from the client and third parties and to facilitate this interaction as needed
6. Plan team training as needed in conjunction with HR
7. Perform regular performance appraisals with the team members reporting to you in conjunction with the lead developer/ system architect
8. Enhance project management best practices within Acuo and other Reunert Companies
9. Liaison with the project office for project administration matters
10. Initiate and assist in new business development activities
    • working with management team to formulate sales plans & associated activities
    • setting up appointments with new clients
    • visiting new clients and presenting Acuo services and products
    • sales follow up activities
    • client relationship development and management
11. Co-ordinate the production of proposals for new system development or documentation projects in conjunction with the development team

Qualifications and experience

1. You have current, relevant project management experience
2. You have experience in project administration, project management, and managing people (inside and outside own team)
3. You have client relationship management experience
4. You have a track record in business development and sales
5. Your tertiary qualification in an Information Technology/ Systems related field would be advantageous, as would a Project Management certification.
6. You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Project
7. UML knowledge and experience in working with a CASE tool are an advantage
